Some training materials are not absolutely necessary, while others are vital. One thing that is difficult to achieve in martial arts is toughening up your knuckles and other parts of your body. It’s not safe to hit someone when you’re practicing, and the body bags and hand targets are fairly soft, making it difficult for you to toughen your body up on them.

Meet the Deluxe Dragon Makiwara Board. The entire purpose of this board is to help you toughen up your feet, elbows, knuckles, and any other part of your body that would strike another person during combat. It is made using a very dense impact resistant foam, which is tough enough to help you make your body strong and tough, but not so thick and hard that you’ll risk breaking a knuckle or any other joint. It is covered with a heavy cotton duck canvas that has a beautiful dragon on it. The new, large size, at 9 inches x 16 inches x 1 ¾ inch thick, is perfect for any training.
